Back Home

I wrote this song back 2000

Bring me back home

You better look before you leap

You better think before you speak

Cause your bridges will be burned

If you don’t start to think

You better learn when to sleep

You better count your blessings

Cause things don’t seem to stick

Around to long here

Take a deep breath now

And start to look around

Everyone seems stare you down

Because of what you’re near

(if you can send help,help

please don’t close your eyes

and walk away, I know you saw

cant you stay

I know they tell you

Live your own life

And leave others alone

But I cant find no one

Else to bring back to my home)

I tried to go back today

I thought I’d try a different way

But they cut down all the trees

And put a fence up in it’s place

I looked back today

At all my yesterdays

A couple of friends still remember

When we were young in those days

I need to take a deep breath

and Clear my head

after all that’s said

it’s time to go on now

(chorus)

I guess I question to much

When I should be having fun

But theres more at stake here

Then when I began

You could say that I’m walking blind

But I could say the same about you

Throwing stones wont help

To get us both through

Time, if I could would I buy some more

Time, if I could would I sell my soul

Time, is it worth the things I do

Time, is it important to me and you.
