Joyful Cry II (Song for a queen)

I wrote this song for my 93 year grandmother :D It actually uses the chorus that I wrote for my other grandmother. Always a wonderful time to honor those who came before you.

Joyful Cry(Song for a Queen)

Sitting on your front porch swing

talking softly sipping sweet tea

Your ears always open even when your closed

so let me tell you one more time

before you go away

there's never enough to tell you though

Sure you're tired to think for so long

like a river flooding your land

life grows on and I understand

God only knows how long

you've known

I'm so sorry that it's time to go

but it's been a long good life

you've seen a lot of love from the people you know

but it's time to say goodbye

And When I think about it I can not lie

it's your memory that brings a joyful cry:)

Like a bird in a blueberry bush

scattering seeds all over creation

you spun that wheel a thousand times

till it landed on what's right

the price is never worth cost

but you were worth the price

Oh my lady my queen

you have cradled me

in arms that never let go

quite opinionated at times

thank God you shared your mind

now I know the things

I thought I might never know
