Good People

I wrote this song after listening to a lot Woody Guthrie, it was my attempt to honor the working man.

Good People

There's a lot good people out there out there

There's a lot good people on the line out there

Dear Lord can you help them find there way here

They don't want to be down but they found there way out

if you help in they may find there way back here

There's a lot good people out in the field

the factories making automobiles

dear lord can you help them find their way back home

They don't want to be greedy getting more than their worth

but the suits come in tell em what they deserve

They don't want to be extravagant just work and honest day

so they can afford the life for their honest pay

there's a lot of good people just trying to stay alive

do whatever they can find a way to survive

from the projects to the plains to and the mountain states

do whatever we can do whatever it takes

it's my family your family imprisoned and free

we're all in this together on the same damn team

the many have suffered long enough it's time we are done

they have to listen if we all stand together as one

There's a lot tired people out there out there

there's a lot of tired people on the line out there

Dear Lord give them strength to go all of the way

They offer us convenience as compensation for life

paycheck to paycheck ain't no way to get by

You make your silly contracts taking captive my time

I just want to see my childs first steps with my own eyes

There's a lot good people out there out there

There's a lot good people on the line out there

Dear Lord can you help them find there way here
