Frames

I wrote this song in 2000, it's mostly about my grandfather who died in 1989

Frame

I walk and I fall

Try to make sense of it all

You run and do not wait

I pray you find a path to take

The sun shines down upon my face

Even as the lightning strikes

A rainbow appears over a mountain

Showers flow down into the fountain

Can you bottle a moment?

Save it for a black Tuesday

Well I saw you strapped to your torment

Wishing for a real Sunday

Holidays are never the same

When you start to change

You look to the pictures and

The people in the frames of yesterday

I laugh when I rise

I start to open my eyes

Perceive the dawn

Consumes the night

The mid day rain

Takes away the light

Don’t wait to long

Cause it will soon be night

(Chorus)

It strikes me strange

That the sun doesn’t always shine

On Sunday

It’s kind of funny

That I don’t always

Mean what I say

Little boys

Tiny girls

Please come back and stay
